This pretty Trailer Lantern was fired for the upcoming Oregon Art Beat episode. The crew managed to film it engulfed in flames and entering the reduction barrel. It has beautiful flashing of color.

When the Oregon Art Beat crew was here, I showed them almost every step of the process. I had a great time sharing with them and can't wait for the world to see the finished episode. I'll post a link to it when it airs.

This picture KC took when I was removing the trailer from the kiln and putting it into the reduction barrel. The finished piece turned out great and will be available for sale next week. I'll post pictures and it will be at Short Term Gallery here in Baker City.

Making Mugs for Oregon Art Beat

Sept. 27, 2011 KC Cowan and a crew from Oregon Art Beat spent all day filming me for an upcoming episode of the show. I am excited and very flattered to have been chosen to be on Art Beat.

This is a new mug series that I did as a demo for part of the show. I also did a raku firing of four trailers, and showed the process of how I make some of my sculptures. I had a great time and can't wait to see the finished show.
